Scotia Gas Networks 'PlaySafe, StaySafe' campaign.
Since 24th November, I have been working on a uni assignment for Scotia Gas Networks.  I was asked to produce some new promotional material for their ‘PlaySafe, StaySafe’ campaign which is aimed at 5-11year olds. It was safe to say, their existing graphics weren’t great and following a huge amount of research, I was beginning to find this assignment a lot of fun!  Thursday 9th,...

So much is going on...
My time at Leicester College has sadly come to an end! It has been an amazing 4 years and I have absolutely loved it. Looking back to the person I was when I started college way back in 2007, I come to realise that I have thankfully come out of my shell and become a lot more confident. Granted, I’m still not confident with my work, despite the amount of praise I have gotten over the years...

Barbara Kruger
Barbara Kruger (born January 26, 1945) is an American conceptual artist. Much of her work consists of black and white photographs overlaid with declarative captions—in white-on-red Futura Bold Oblique or Helvetica Ultra Condensed.  My current Photography assignment is to produce a piece in the style of Barbara Kruger’s work. After doing a decent amount of research, I’ve kind of...

Hello I just thought I would post a little update. Remember the sneak preview? Well that piece of work is now finished and handed in. I’m extremely happy with how it looks and I am proud to say “Hey, that’s my work!” I think I’m going to be really mean and make you wait until I get my grade, which should be in the next couple of works depending on how busy my...

My Corporate Identity
Hi guys, This is just a really quick update;  As of yesterday my corporate id is no longer orange, as part of the assignment I decided to do a number of colour ways to see how my logo would look in another colour and after talking to my tutor, we’ve decided to change it to blue. Not a baby blue or a sky blue; More like a slate blue :) It really works with the grey of my waist coat and...

My Own Corporate Identity.
As part of a college assignment, I was asked to produce my own corporate identity.  It was a struggle at first and I found it very frustrating not being able to think up an idea but eventually I was able to come up with my own logo and now, I’m extremely happy with how it looks.   Here it is; It is a vectorized image of myself using Adobe Illustrator and my signature was created using my...

The Mills Messenger, Issue 2
Hello guys. I really should aim to keep this blog uptodate more often.  Although, it is slightly out of date as we’re now working towards getting Issue 3 put together; You can now head over to the Fan Central section of BenMillsOnline and view last months issue. The Mills Messenger, Issue 2 While I’m here, I would like to apoligize about the lack of updates. I promise to try harder!...

Festival of British Archaeology
For my first ever LIVE project, I was asked to create an invitation to the end of Festival party which was being held by the council of British Archaeology. It had to be emailed as well as sent in the post WITHOUT an envelope.  I started off by researching Archaeology and one of the first images that came up was a Roman mosaic patten and it was this that gave me, my idea for my postcard. ...
